Big Bang integration, in [[Software Development]], is a [[Work Methodologies|work methodology]] where teams with different skills work independently on different parts of an application or feature, and then integrate their work at the end. Thus, the application goes from being nothing (as none of the teams have functioning work to show) to everything (the fully-integrated end result).
The problem with this process is that there is a lot of time and effort between nothing and everything. Big Bang integration was more common when traditional work methodologies like [[Waterfall]] were used. These days, the phrase is commonly use in a derogative sense, and as a reason to instead choose [[Continuous Improvement|Continuous Integration]].
