Disaster Recovery tests are similar to [[Failover Test]]s, but vary in scope. A disaster recovery test typically involves inducing a critical failure to determine how the application will react, whereas a failover test induces a failure that the application is expected to recover from.
In particular, disaster recovery tests also include procedures for communicating outages to customers, data recovery, and full rebuilds and redeployments of the application stack.
