[^traveloka] ### Bungisngis One-eyed and perpetually laughing creature with tusks that typically prey on livestock. [^traveloka] ### Amomongo Hairy white ape that devours small creatures' intestines. [^traveloka] ### Tiyanak Tiyanak is a creature that takes the form of a newborn baby to attract its victims in forests. [^tiyanak] ### Tikbalang It is a human-horse hybrid with disproportionately long legs, so that its knees are higher than its head. It lives in mountains and forests. ### Kapre A kapre is a tree-dwelling giant (up to 9 feet tall) that is hairy and smelly. The term *kafir* refers to non-believers. ### Unglu General term for ampire. #### Manananggal A manananggal is a humanoid, usually female, whose primary shock tactic involves separating its upper body from its lower body. It also has bat-like wings and a long tongue that it inserts into the belly of a pregnant woman. It preys on fetus hearts, blood from sleeping victims, or newlyweds. #### Wakwak Large, manananggal-like bird-humanoid hybrid often found with the vampiric Unglu. Its name comes from the sound it makes when flying, but the sound is louder when it's far away and softer when it's up close. [^wakwak] #### Berbalang Berbalangs are winged vampires that feed on buried bodies. ## Underground ### Bakunawa Large, serpentine, one-horned creature whose movements can cause eclipses, earthquakes, or storms. Can be found in the sea or underground. [^bakunawa] ## Water ### Berberoka Water monsters that suck out water to expose fish and lure fishermen closer, and then they drown the fishermen. ## Air Tiktik - tongue that comes from the ceiling that goes for unborn babies.
