Generative [[Artificial Intelligence|AI]] is a type of model for taking inputs and then producing outputs based on them. [[Large Language Model|LLM]]s are one type of generative AI that have dominated, because language and text are the easiest ways for humans to interact with AI. However, other types of generative AI exist, such as:
- Image generators
- Audio generators
- Video generators
- Code generators (although they're often used in conjunction with LLMs)
- Time series and signal generators, used for synthetic metrics for [[Software Testing]]
