In this [[Forms|form]], the heroine is a character with a personality or interest that is considered stereotypically male, such as fighting. She ends up pretending to be a boy so that she can participate in this interest.
Interestingly, this form often involves a lack of gender dysphoria; that is, the conflict of the heroine is usually with gender roles rather than her gender.
