# [[Kanban]] The Kanban system is a [[Work Methodologies|work methodology]] that began as a way to improve the production line in [[Toyota]] factories. The Kanban system visualizes the production workflow as a series of columns (activities that need to be done) on which cards (the tasks that activities need to be done TO) are placed. Cards on the left are in the earliest phase of the process, while cards on the right are the finished product.
