# Lighting gear
### Main lights
- [Elgato Key Light](https://amzn.to/3s46hxv): Just the best for video calls and filming near my desk.
- [Falconeyes RX-18TD](https://amzn.to/3H4soum): A step up from the key light, which I use for lighting when I'm not at my desk.
- [Aputure 100D](https://amzn.to/3Aye5vj): Entry-level professional key light from Aputure and the best light I have-- but also the biggest
### Practicals
Practical lights are smaller lights that are meant to be seen on video but are not meant to light up the main subject of the video.
- [Nanlite PavoTube 6C II](http://en.nanlite.com/products/detail-174) tubes as practical lights
- [Aputure AL-MC](https://amzn.to/3fub99P): Portable, magnetic, Qi-compatible, LED and RGB light that I've used as a key light while travelling, in a pinch. Can be controlled via an app.
- [Lume Cube Broadcasting Kit](https://amzn.to/3qWVZjI): Portable white light that comes with a handy small tripod. Better for video calls while travelling than the AL-MC, but not as flexible (it's not RGB, isn't magnetic).
### Non-light lighting gear
If you don't have a "proper" video light, reflect/deflect! And when in doubt, use natural lighting.
- [Neewer 5-in-1 reflective reflector set](https://amzn.to/3jiNpH1) (gold, silver, white, black, and transparent)
- [Neewer two-way rotating aluminum light stand](https://amzn.to/3fpnkVC): for putting lights right where I want them. I most often use this for positioning my hairlight (usually the Lume Cube, when I'm at home).
