Here's how to create characters for [[Cypher]] ([[Numenera]])

Each adjective comes with benefits:
- A bonus to one of your pools
- Two skills
- Possible inabilities
- A link to the starting adventure
The possible adjectives in *Discovery* are:

## Verbs: Focus (p.58)
A focus comes with the ofllowing things:
- A passive power
- Additional equipment
- An active power and minor/major effect suggestions.
- New abilities per tier
- A way to relate your newfound abilities to another PC.
The possible foci in *Discovery* are:

## Skills
Skills can be gained from [[Numenera Character Creation.md#Adjective: Descriptors (p.53)|descriptors]] and make a character better at performing certain types of tasks.
Characters can be *trained* and later *specialized* at skills.
Skills can never be used to ease a task by more than two steps.
## Assets (p.103)
An asset is anything that helps a character with a task, which could be:
- equipment
- a circumstance (such as being in a rainstorm when trying to put out a fire)
An asset eases a task by 1 or 2 steps (and no more than that).
