%% date:: [[2022-12-23]]; [[2024-01-29]] %% # [[Obsidian Etherpad Lite]] [[Obsidian]] Etherpad Lite is a [[Obsidian Plugins|plugin]] that allows notes in Obsidian to be uploaded to [[Etherpad]] and vice versa. While there is no real-time sync, it does allow for simple real-time collaboration: - You create a Markdown note within Obsidian. - You trigger the plugin command (*Convert current document to Etherpad*), which adds an Etherpad ID to the Obsidian note and creates a copy of the note on Etherpad. - You view the note in Etherpad (using the *Visit note in Etherpad in system browser* plugin command). - On Etherpad, you generate a shareable link and send it to a potential collaborator. - The collaborator modifies the note on Etherpad. - In Obsidian, you trigger the plugin command *Replace note content from Etherpad*. Everything in the Etherpad note overwrites the contents of the Obsidian note. %% Video for Patreons: <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/veZNy16TaQk" title="YouTube video player" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture" allowfullscreen></iframe> %%
