This character, often a villain, is given the ability to speak and have their words become true. This is usually a result of being so charismatic and convincing that an ordinary person cannot resist an order. ## Examples - Kilgrave in Jessica Jones could control people around him with his words, and when he met a woman with superhuman strength, he became a force to be reckoned with. - The Bene Gesserit in [[sources/Book/Dune]], after a few minutes of studying and registering a person's voice, can pitch their voices to be exceptionally compelling. - Lek in [[Graceling]] could convince people that lies were true. His power extended to others he had not personally spoken to, and so his lies could be perpetuated. However, his hold was limited and could be subverted by a strong will, extremely incongruous situations, and time.
