# [[The Algarve]] The Algarve is a region in [[Portugal]] that is consistently ranked among the best places in the world to retire. The temperature there reaches 35 degrees in the summer and about 15 degrees in the winter. We didn't like the Algarve much, because there are A LOT of tourists. There are even more tourists than local Portugese people.
