# [[Virtual Tabletop]]
A Virtual TableTop, or VTT, is an online platform that includes tools that make it easier for both [[Being a Game Master|DM]]s and players to run enounters, share maps, roll dice and share those results, keep track of character sheets, and chat.
## Popular VTTS
- [Roll20](https://roll20.net/): most popular and has the most integrations, but it's a little clunky
- [D&D Beyond](https://dndbeyond.com)
- [Owlbear Rodeo](https://owlbear.rodeo/)
- [Shard Tabletop](https://www.shardtabletop.com/)
- [Astral](https://www.astraltabletop.com/): partnered with DriveThruRPG for importing paid content
- [Tableplop](https://new.tableplop.com/)
- [Foundry VTT](https://foundryvtt.com/): extremely extensible, but still a resource hog
- [Fantasy Grounds](https://store.steampowered.com/app/252690/): Steam app that GMs must purchase and share to players
- [Tabletop Simulator](https://store.steampowered.com/app/286160/Tabletop_Simulator/): Steam app. Good for other board games, but not as good for D&D
- [TaleSpire](https://talespire.com/): Steam app. 3D, but every GM and player must have it.
