Daily notes is a [[Core plugins|core plugin]] that automatically creates notes every day in the format you specify. You can use daily notes to do journalling, keep a dev log, or to otherwise log the day's activities. In Settings > Daily notes, you can find the following options: ![[settings-daily-notes.png]] ## Date format By default, the format of daily notes are set to `YYYY-MM-DD`, such as [[2023-01-06]]. You can change this to another format you prefer. For example: - `DD-MM-YYYY`: `06-01-2023` - `DD MMMM`: `06 January` For other date formats, [check the Moment.js documentation](https://momentjs.com/docs/#/displaying/format/). ## New file location In this field, enter or select the folder that you want daily notes to be saved in, such as `02 System/reviews/daily`. ## Template file location In this field, enter the path to the daily template, such as `02 System/templates/daily or select it from the list.
