Slides is a [[Core plugins|core plugin]] that lets you transform your notes into slide presentations within Obsidian. It's disabled by default. ## Creating slides The best part about the Slides plugin is that it's easy to turn a note into a slide-- enclose it in these: ``` --- This is a slide --- ``` A `---` delineates the end of one slide and the beginning of the next one. Potentially, any note can also be a slide, and you can also add anything in a slide that you can add to a note, such as images, [[obsidian-playbook/Using Obsidian/02 Making Notes in Obsidian/Markdown#Creating and embedding links|embedded links]], and more. ## Starting the slideshow When you're ready to view the presentation, open the [[Command palette]] and select `Slides: Start presentation`. Navigate the presentation by clicking on the right and left arrows on the bottom right. When you're done, press ESC to return to your notes. ## Use cases for Slides You can use Slides to: - create simple presentations with text and images only - quickly put together a presentation from notes you already have, by embedding your notes - consolidate your information and force yourself to be succinct - tell a story that connects multiple notes ## Related - [[Best practices]] slide presentation
