Workspaces is a [[Core plugins|core plugin]] that saves the current position and settings for the following: - the title bar - [[The Obsidian UI and settings#Side pane/sidebar|the sidebars]] - [[The Obsidian UI and settings#The toolbar|the toolbar]] - [[Working with tabs groups and windows|tab groups and windows]] - the status bar It is disabled by default, but I suggest you enable it. From the [[Command palette]], you can: - load a workspace - manage workspaces - save and load another workspace ## Manage workspaces Select `Workspaces: Manage workspace layouts` from the [[Command palette]]. You can save the current workspace by entering a name for it and clicking *Save*. From this window, you can also click *Load* next to any of the listed workspaces to load that workspace. ## Saving a workspace You should save a workspace when you've made a change to an existing workspace and want to update it. Select `Workspaces: Save and load another layout` from the [[Command palette]]. Select the workspace you want to load and hit ENTER. The current workspace is saved, and the new one is loaded.
