Anyone working a lot in Obsidian could benefit from knowing some custom hotkeys.
Hotkeys are keyboard shortcuts that you can use instead of clicking menus in Obsidian. There are already some default keyboard shortcuts that come with Obsidian. However, since they are very dependent on your operating system, I'll show you where to find them rather than listing them out for you.
You can find all the keyboard shortcuts in Settings > Hotkeys.
## Custom hotkeys
Find something you want to be able to do quickly, but it doesn't have a custom hotkey?
1. In Settings > Hotkeys, find or search for the action you'd like to do.
2. Click on the + icon.
3. Hit the key combination you'd like to bind the action to.
If the keyboard shortcut you chose has already been bound to another action, the hotkey will turn red. In this case, delete it by clicking on the X icon. Then add a new, unique shortcut insteed.
