You don't typically have to save your notes in Obsidian; they are automatically saved every few seconds. However, if you'd like to save manually (say, if you want to immediately close Obsidian), you can open the [[Command palette]] and select `Save current file`. ## Where notes are saved ![[Installing Obsidian#Where does the Obsidian vault get saved?]] When you create a new vault, Obsidian asks you where to save it. If you've forgotten where you saved it, you can click on the *Open another vault* icon on the [[The Obsidian UI and settings#The toolbar|toolbar]]: ![[ui-open-another-vault.png]] All the vaults you've created are displayed, along with the full file path of where they are saved.
