That means Belcorra is also undead. Takes out Ghost charge from his bag. (Vayle gets their Slayer's Identification feature. Belcorra's a powerful ghost, so powerful that they can't understand her power. She is a powerful spellcaster.) ##### Belcorra's turn Stares balefully at everyone 30 feet in front of her. Bond took 12 damage. Zuhri took 12 damage. Bond took PF-Stupefied status. Zuhri took PF-Stupefied status. Ash took PF-Stupefied status. Vayle took PF-Stupefied status. Siora did not take the damage but was Stupefied. Belcorra shows us that her family was exiled from [[Absalom]]. She shows us how much she has bled for, and killed for, The Gauntlight. Siora was healed for 12 HP. Siora took PF-Stupefied status. Her form starts to hunch. She's been trying to resist darker forces. Quick Action: She uses one target. She chooses Vayle! *Phantasmal Killer*. (tags: death, emotion, fear, mental) Vayle's biggest fear is that they are outed as undead to the whole town and that they're living a pitiful life alone. Vayle took 31 damage and took PF-Frightened status. ##### Siora's turn As a full shadow, she flies 30 feet. Grumble takes an opportunity attack. Siora took 51 damage. Activates *Shroud*. Gives her concealment. If we target her, then we have to roll a DC 5 flat-check to do so. She summons a Shadow Echo. Siora attacks Vayle, but they are immune to void damage so they didn't take anything. ##### Grumblebum's turn Rolls 29 to hit Belcorra and it just goes through her! It should have hit... Vayle initiative changed to 22 ##### Vayle's turn Vayle took PF-Invisible status. Moves towards Bond. Takes Elixir of Life that Grumble gave them. Vayle was healed for 17 HP. ##### Zuhri's turn Knowledge check. I don't learn anything more. I took out the *Desolation locket* and cast *Fear*. Siora succeeded, but still took PF-Frightened status. Tandem move away. ##### Ash's turn ### Round 2 ##### Bond's turn Bond throws a ghost charge at Belcorra, who resists the 1 vitality damage. ##### Belcorra's turn Scoffs at the failed attempts from Grumble and Bond. Starts to cast another spell and then starts to fade away. Obviously she wants to stay, but she disappears. She shouts "She [Siora] will finish you off anyway. Otherwise, I'll be waiting." Belcorra removed from the combat. ##### Siora's turn Move to Zuhri. Spawns another Siora. Do a Shadow Spine AoE attack. Zuhri took 19 damage. ##### Grumblebum's turn Kills one Siora. ##### Vayle's turn Grumblebum took Guided status. ##### Zuhri's turn ##### Ash's turn At the end of Ash's turn, the form of the Siora above reforms to the Siora we know and says that she can't hold it for long. She needs to get away. ### Round 3 ##### Bond's turn ##### Siora's turn Zuhri took 35 damage. Grumblebum took 42 damage. ##### Grumblebum's turn Kills off one Siora. Zuhri initiative changed to 22 ##### Zuhri's turn Ash dealt 24 damage but Siora took 4 damage. ##### Vayle's turn Does a Vitality Lash, but does not manage to deal the damage. At the end of the round, Siora again says that she needs to get out of Belcorra's domain. ##### Ash's turn ## [[115_20260510 The Cailean Key Awakens]] ### Round 4 ##### Bond's turn Goes 50 feet away, towards where Siora was going. ##### Siora's turn Creates two more copies of herself, near Ash and Grumble. Attempts to *Seek* Vayle. Goes towards Vayle. Grumble takes an opportunity attack but misses. Flanks Grumble. Two Shadow Hand attacks. Grumblebum took 18 void damage. Grumblebum took 4 precision damage. Grumblebum took PF-Enfeebled status. Vayle initiative changed to 22 ##### Vayle's turn Grumblebum was healed for 28 HP. ##### Grumblebum's turn ##### Zuhri's turn Vayle took Shield status. Ash took Shield status. Siora took PF-Frightened status. ##### Ash's turn ### Round 5 Vayle hears a muffled voice on their person talking. It's a voice they've never heard before. It's tugging and warm. Then the southernmost Siora said "The fastest exit is this way" and went through the western wall. ##### Bond's turn Bond hears some voice on Vayle's person but it's muffled. ##### Siora's turn Two more Sioras spawn on Level 4, where Vayle and Bond are. They spawn next to Vayle. Previously she was bound to Level 5, but now she's obviously not. She attacks Vayle, but Vayle doesn't take any damage. ##### Vayle's turn Grumblebum initiative changed to 22 ##### Grumblebum's turn Siora's unmodified AC is 26. Hits Siora for 16 then disappears. Bond initiative changed to 22 (delayed) ##### Bond's turn Hits Siora but her 20 resistance to physical damage means she doesn't take any damage. ##### Vayle's turn Finds out that the voice is coming from their dagger. Especially from the hilt. Vayle takes out the key from the hilt and it says "Ah, finally, I'm free!" It's a booming voice. "Greetings, new owner of the [[Cailean Key]]! I sense someone who needs help. I can free someone. Who needs to be freed?" It says that Vayle should point it in the direction of that person, brandish it with a flourish, and say something nice. But Vayle doesn't know which one is the right Siora! Bond took Guided status. ##### Zuhri's turn Tandem Move. Perception check to see which one is the real Siora, and then pointed out to Vayle. Ash took Shield status. Tandem move so that Ash is closer to Siora and they're still within 15 feet of each other. ##### Ash's turn Bond initiative changed to 24 ### Round 6 ##### Bond's turn *Thoughtful Reload*. How different is this form from the Siora that we've encountered before? This is a Greater Shadow (Level 7) with all its resistances. It removes your shadow. That's how it replicates. It can make shadows and hide in your shadow. It's intelligent, although it's almost always hungry. It longs for flesh but can't really eat flesh. It has Light Vulnerability. Attacks against the shadow count as magical if they come from a creature in magical light, or form an object in magical light, such as one under the effects of the *Light* spell. The resistance 20 (except force, ghost touch, vitality) doubles against nonmagical attacks. ##### Siora's turn Siora flies down to Level 5. "Stop dilly-dallying. The closest exit is that way." Grumblebum took 34 damage. Grumblebum took 17 damage. Grumblebum took 21 precision damage. Both of them steal shadows. He is now enfeebled 4. If he dies, death is permanent. ##### Grumblebum's turn Vayle initiative changed to 22 ##### Vayle's turn Brandishes the Cailean Key on the real Siora. It works! It counteracts both Belcorra's hold on Siorra and Vayle's Stupefied condition.
