# [[007_20230402 Wagon of Boom]] ## Session Summary > [!tldr] [[007_20230402 Wagon of Boom]] > ^summary --- ## Recap ![[006_20230319#^summary]] --- ## Log Someone yells that we should protect [[Talosia]] at all costs as if she's the most valuable resource that they have. I manage to convince her to go back with [[Divine Nex]]. We hear shouts from other people-- it seems like we're being surrounded. Jackie feeds kids up to Divine Nex. There are flaming arrows around us. We put some fires out. Jackie catches fire. She spots that the fireworks caravan has caught fire, and we hear a hissing sound. Jackie and Squeeee roll the Wagon of Boom towards the west wall, moving towards the intruders. We hear people yelling that the intruders have gotten inside the compound. Jackie tries to calm Squeeee down. We hear a voice: "Bow down and accept the marauders!" We're really close to the gates. It's coming from someone with hands as big as anvils, a muscled, hunched back. They pound someone into the ground while we watch. ![[Pasted image 20230402220918.png]] A smaller figure approaches: ![[Pasted image 20230402220836.png]] They have green glowing eyes and small globes that are floating in the air in front of them. [[Ono Lectrix]] is their name. "We've got you surrounded. Mongo will tear this place apart. We just want your tribute. We will be back in 24 hours. Gather everything you have to offer." Apparently they had already said this this morning, but they still came earlier. We saw about 20+ combatants that left. We killed about 7 of them. There were shields and 1d6 shins, light armor, miscellaneous gear. Squeeee rolls a 69 and gets a *Foam Limb*. jar of oil that, when spread on metal, makes the metal glow with a faint radiance. Our plan: - ambush them before they get to the village again. - Track them to see where they're going to pass. - Capture the leader. - Set up traps (Home Alone). Long rest. No game next week-- it's Easter! My priorities: 1. Leave Vesburgh with a plan for how to surprise the bandits if they do get that far. 2. At the bandit camp, figure out a way to capture the Ono Lectrix alone (and disable them so they can't call for help). 3. Get more context about the motivations of the bandits. Why are they doing this? (Kill Ono if we don't like the answer or we can't get them to talk.)
