> We called the attention of the gnolls with lights, attempting to fight them piecemeal. They all started coming from us because one of them began to howl immediately. It seemed like they could move into the canals as well. The Pack Lord seemed to make all the gnolls around him more powerful. A gnoll shaman cast this smoke around us to obscure the area, which made it difficult for casters to attack, but it also meant we had cover.

> Despite that, some gnolls got really lucky hits on me (even though I was under almost total cover). It put a bow through my chest, which Keren helped me remove, but it still left a gnarled scar. Then it shot me through the eye! The gnoll shaman seemed to do some necromancy magic that caused some dead gnolls to rise as undead witherlings.

## Log
We see people suspended in nets, looking like they're prisoners or food for the hyenas. It smells like unwashed dog. 🤮
Gnolls are 7-8 feet tall each, and they're naturally hunched. They have dog-shaped heads.

There is one gnoll that has a three-headed flail made of the skull bone (without a jawbone). It has hooks and barbs.
The statue is embedded into the wall. It's made of bone and flesh and mud. It's 25 feet tall and is vaguely in the shape of a gnoll. Where its face should be, there is an empty eye and another eye that glows a faint green. It looks like a gem. The gnolls we see use patchwork armor.
This hall seems like it was a great gathering hall in the past, but now it's in ruins. There is a green, sloshing liquid that seems to run like a river through this place. It's about 3-5 feet from the stone floor, and it seems to be pouring out from somewhere. This cavern is being held up by massive stone pillars. The gnolls seem to have various body parts around their persons - they're carrying them around like trophies. Some of them are even wearing the skin of people on their faces!
With the gnoll shaman, there is also a big pot of something green and bubbling. One hyena bursts open and there's something inside it that's moving!
I use _Light_ to try to lure some of the gnoll bandits to us again, hoping to take care of them.

The hyenas are turning into gnolls! A gnoll breaks them open from the inside.

- The Big [[Gnolls|gnoll]] Guy moves really quickly and marks all of us! We will get dealt damage if we attack someone other than him.
- Maestro falls into the acid. My Moment of Glory saves him from taking acid damage, but his possessions might have gotten damaged. He uses his magical d6 and accidentally heals the gnoll gnawer gets healed.
- We get an action point because we've been in more than one battle without resting. We can reuse a daily item and a daily action.

- The Pack Lord does a blood call. He has an aura around him that makes gnolls near him manic.
- Shaman moves his cloud to cover us all again.
- Ka'ira: Hit the Pack Lord.

- Eraithe: Hits the Pack Lord. Finds a hidden Skulker there who was holding his action, and gets attacked by him. 16 damage -4 DR, -5 MoG, -5 temp HP: 2 damage
- Someone hits me in the eye! Crit: I am exhausted.-1 to saving throws, movement, attack rolls. -2 on perception rolls that rely on sight and -2 to ranged attack rolls. Must be treated within 24 hours.
- Gnolls come to hit me. I know that they work better together. I don't want them to gang up on me because they hit more when they do!

- Flesh Gnawers are a more feral type of gnoll who have forsaken weapons and strategy. They just want to charge into the melee regardless of the danger. Gnolls are dangerous when they're together. They are more deadly when they're bloodied. They sometimes even eat their own.

- Move to catch up with the party, but still stay behind them.

- The shaman does a spell, channeling the power from the statue, and puts it into the canal. The water flows up and enters some corpses

- Maestro does damage to both Fang and the Pack Lord.
- Shaman does damage to Maestro

- Standard: Fire Burst on coming gnoll to kill it
- Move to catch up with the party
- Pack Lord: Blood rage thing that overwhelms Maestro and causes him not to know who his friends are. -2 penalty to attack rolls for Maestro and he moves 3 to an ally that the pack lord chooses and makes 2 melee basic attacks
- Undead things rise from the water, buoyed by the spell that the shaman cast. They are now witherlings: they are weak undead that do their bidding.

- Eraithe: Hits a witherling
- Maestro recognizes one of the voices that the hyenas are repeating (they've been mocking us and copying all voices). It's of a dwarven voice he's heard before. It's [[Gundren]] (?), who knows how to find Wave Echo Cave.
- Skulker shoots Ka'ira. Ka'ira is bloodied but avoids getting a permanent injury.
