# 26_20201128 Gloomtoes awakens Galadim ## Session Summary As the [[Blazing Skeletons]] caster started some sort of arcane ritual, skeletons appeared in waves within the Vault of the Nine. Most of them were merely minions, but they still presented a problem until Xio manipulated the battlefield and created an illusion that drew them all to the center. She also took some risk by closing the heavy door to the vault, in an attempt to cut off the caster from the bodies she wanted to take for "Arclan". During the fight, portals opened and closed, some of them yielding stone crawlers. Meanwhile, Gloomtoes touched the obelisk in the center of the room and learned to wield the magic of the castle to awaken one of the statues in the room: Galadim, the dragonborn paladin. Demonic eye comes from the portal and then the portal closes - Gloomtoes's skeleton seems - Maestro's die - 5: soldier's fist - next attack before the end of your next turn deals 2d6 damage - We sense power inside the coffins that wasn't there when we were looking at the coffins. - Gloomtoes touches the obelisk. He says it's the source of magic in the castle. Defending power. He might be able to use it. The stone is drawing magic from elsewhere. He thinks he can try to fix the broken magic in this castle (difficult) or remove it altogether or divert it to one of the statues. Maestro and I choose [[Galadim]] and the runes on his coffin begin to brighten. It goes to his statue and the eyes light up. A faint glow comes out of the light and we hear the metal squeak. He steps down off the pedestal. Seems unsure at first but then says "I sense evil" calmly. - Galadim: "Evil must be purged." His fist is maybe double the size of a human's fist. He seems disproportionately large. - New portal appears. Barren wasteland with burnt or destroyed tree stumps. Stones are scorched. All rock, all sharp and not smoothened by weathering.
