# 35_20201220 Big Tree Spire
## Session Summary
The [[Seelak]] unfortunately ran out of the room as soon as we entered it, and the harpies also began to yell out "Intruders in the castle! Protect the king!" It wasn't too long before a Beholder descended from the hole in the ceiling and proceeded to toy with us. It is clearly more powerful than we are, and actually held back from some of its more devastating powers. I very nearly died, and only a successful Truename charm roll let me survive. I told the Beholder that I would try to lure some meat to it, and it let me go. We managed to escape with our lives, and retreated into the [[The Aviary]]... where we got attacked. ^summary

- There are more windows than normal, perfect circles, about 5' wide. Some are the original windows of the spire, more ornate than usual. There are ledges under the windows with nests where the harpies stay, but it's mostly empty steps. There are two harpies in some nests now. Windows are about 20' (lowest window)
- Ceiling is 60' high. There is a hole where the stairs should go, but the stairs have been removed cleanly (as if they had been sliced off the wall). There is some slime and some webs on the wall, mostly near the door where the ettercap is. There are a lot of harpy droppings.
