# 43_20210110 Reuniting the Ettercaps ## Session Summary Zeethrix was happy to be reunited with her mate, Seelak, despite him being unconscious. I healed him, got his truename, and made sure Tar'gath's charm had been broken on him. We spent some time in the Spider Spire learning about each other's families. We went back to check in with Thraid, who said she needed a day or two to finish learning her magic. We left Snowflake with her and went out of the castle for the first time in a long time. Before we got to Driftwood Tavern, Ka'ira was attacked by a single black, metal-tipped crossbow bolt. ^summary ## Recap ![[42_20210109 Getting Prince Ettercap#^summary]] ## Log - [[Zeethrix]] checks her mate. His name is [[Seelak]]. - We take a short rest in the lair, and Ka'ira entertains us with a story about going after a creature called [[ttrpgs/Order of the Wandering Mind/Banshee Agatha]]. (9 temp HP.) They wanted information about a cult. [[ttrpgs/Order of the Wandering Mind/Sister Garell]], who gave them a diamond-encrusted comb. Maestro inspired Ka'ira to talk to Garell. They sacrificed a magical item to finish a quest. - [[ttrpgs/Order of the Wandering Mind/Banshee]] - Eraithe says they are very evil ghosts that cannot rest. They have unfinished business. It's unusual that a banshee would let you go through its lair. Perhaps giving it the item was part of its purpose. - [[Eraithe]] has brothers, sisters - they haven't spoken in a while. He'll tell us another time. - [[Bron]], knight of the merciful sword, is Ka'ira's comrade in arms. He was the one that gave Ka'ira the armor with spikes. - [[Gloomtoes]] has family. But they're out in the rolling hills, where it's safer. Gloomtoes is not quite like them. Why did he work with the Sons? Gloomtoes's travels brought him to Neverwinter. He felt called. Then the voices started. There was a scuffle involving the mercenaries and Gloomtoes tried to help. He was about to get captured and Reona and her friends helped him get out. - [[Snowflake]], how did you come to be with Thraid? Thraid saved her. Thraid was my momma. - [[Father Tyson]] didn't stop Ka'ira and Maestro (or [[Jade Quarion]]) from leaving the monastery. - Gloomtoes has contact with demons in his dreams. - Eraithe was separated from his navy. Many of the crew perished. THe rest died in a few days. Those who survived were captured. - I super got [[Seelak]]'s name and nullified the charm. - Door to [[Tar'gath the Beholder]]'s lair is now blocked with stone and castle walls - We go to the teleportation spire. Tar'gath's spire has been destroyed. - Go to THay to get the rest of the Analects of Vondelak - [[Thraid]]: Beholders take previous conquests as trophies. Thraid might be able to help with that, in time. - Thraid is not like them. She doesn't get magic from books. She loves the outside world. Her adventures caught the attention of wizards long before Ban was king. She was made an honorary member of the order, but she doesn't need to study books. Her magic is the magic of the land. - Thraid is not part of [[The Arcane Brotherhood]]. They are wizardly bookish types. As far as Nasher has told her, the Brotherhood had one purpose. THe only time Nasher contacted the Brotherhood was for one purpose (Thraid doesn't know what it was.) - Thraid called Ka'ira "zabrija". - Thraid still senses a dragon nearby. A strong one. She doesn't know who [[ttrpgs/Order of the Wandering Mind/Uwun the Flawless]] is. - [[ttrpgs/Order of the Wandering Mind/Bahamut]] and [[ttrpgs/Order of the Wandering Mind/Tiamat]] were two halves of one hole. They are diametrically opposed. This hole was "[[Io]]", the god of dragons. Dragons fought among each other. Io was split into two in a fight, and he became Bahamut and Tiamat. The two dragon gods are still very much here, but Io is not. - Thraid doesn't know if Io has anything to do with Ioxian league. - [[Beholder]]s can fly, says Thraid - We go to the [[Driftwood Tavern]].
