# 46_20210123 Level 7 ## Session Summary Still in the safehouse, Eraithe opened up to us and told us that he was part of Eladrin royalty, but never felt like he really belonged there. We decided to leave the safehouse and go to Vellguard Manor. Ka'ira and Xio defaced the symbol of Asmodeus that they saw at the front (which Mordai Vell later claimed he had not had put there). Mordai Vell invited us in and played several rounds of [[Sloops and Sailors]] with us, a poker game with dice. We won 2 potions of Cure Moderate Wounds and a Robe of the Charging Wind. ^summary ## Recap of last session ![[45_20210117 The Assassin#^summary]] ## Log [[Eraithe]] misses his land, Feywild/[[Evermeet]], but not the people. Things are much more predictable there. He misses being among his kind. It's interesting to know our ways because we're so different and strange. We all act so short-term because of our shorter life spans. Maestro thanks Eraithe too. Why doesn't Eraithe talk to his siblings? He doesn't want to be a noble. He wants action. His family are destined to become rulers. He prefers to act - he was with a navy when they were captured. His friends and colleagues have been sold. Eraithe doesn't like royalty. He wants to adventure and impact the world with your actions. The Feywild is a more extreme place than this one, but it's beautiful. [[Gloomtoes]] isn't close to anyone. He usually just trances and doesn't talk to anyone. [[Nefnon]] is not a deity or god or anything in a legend. Ka'ira and I think that it's a common name among tieflings. Tiefling names are derived from devil names. We go to [[Mordai Vell]]'s manor, [[Vellguard Manor]]. There are fewer people around than normal because it's quite early. It's about 100 feet or so in front. It's an old structure, but it's still impressive. It looks like a castle or fortress: high, thick walls that are scorched but intact. There is a symbol of [[ttrpgs/Order of the Wandering Mind/Asmodeus]]. Mordai Vell's servants are all tieflings. They're wearing commoners' clothes. As we approach, she goes inside the house, presumably to tell the master. A red-skinned tiefling with red horns, covered in all white expensive robes, rings, belt, jewelry all expensive. [[Mordai Vell]]. His head is covered. His face is not. His head is in a sort of turban and is about Ka'ira size. He's wider than anyone else. ^3d9d28 ![[g_NfkmjJja.jpg]] Neverember showed papers proving that he is the offspring Mordai did not have the [[ttrpgs/Order of the Wandering Mind/Asmodeus]] icon carved in, he says. He also claims that he doesn't know who Asmodeus is, but he is pretending. He plays Blackjack (dice version) with the heirs, and comes back with vials. "If you beat me in this game, I will give you these vials of healing." [[Sloops and Sailors]] (sloop is a kind of ship) It's like poker "The Lord Protector has something to do with all of the things that fail. The mayor [[Somangolt]] is a quiet partner of the Lord Protector." Ka'ira won potions of healing! : 2 Potions of Cure Moderate Wounds - spend a healing surge and regain 2d8 + 10. If you are bloodied, you don't need to spend a surge New prize: blue robe, like a sky. Whenever you charge, aside from giving usual amount of protection that magic items can provide, once per day, you turn invisible "My family have always been Neverwintans. That's why I returned to Neverwinter. I wish to continue our stay. I've always been a Neverwintan. But I couldn't thrive because of the Lord Protector's mandates. I've tried to convince him to let me start my guild, but he said no. (because he was ousted by guilds in [[Waterdeep]]) So I did the next best thing: I made him my friend." [[Neverember]] Mordai Vell on how Neverember feels about the heirs: "He is furious. He's made it his life's work to keep his hold on this city." How would we get a message to Neverember? Mordai is willing to send one to him for us. Mordai on [[Assassin of the Black Bolt]]: "Just between the two of us, perhaps it's the Lord Protector. I know him to be ruthless when he needs to be. But he has made the city bearable for most commonfolk. He's protected this city from threats." Maestro wins Robe of the charging wind: +2 to AC
