# 56_20210314 To the Chasm ## Session Summary We went back to the Vault of the Nine to try to reincarnate Ravonn using the obelisk, but that didn't work. Signs of the necromancer's massage are present in the castle, particularly in Tar'gath's spire. I spent some time creating potions for the next leg of our adventure before we took a long rest. The next morning, I treated Ka'ira's festering wound (3/10 successes), and we crossed the chasm. I used Water Walking to cross it, and conjured a Tenser's Floating Disk for others to hold onto. I tried to reincarnate [[Ravonn]], but it didn't work (DC20). There is a gigantic humanoid nearby that energy is flowing through. The energy flows through the obelisk and through the humanoid. Most of the signs of the travel of the necromancer, there are still some scratches of claw-like hands on some doorknobs and hair. A small group has passed by the great hall, the castle basement, and the hallway leading from the ettercap's spire to Tar'gath's spire. Not in the aviary. The chasm spawns mutations of natural beasts, and they all have blue fire on them. Long rest. I treated Ka'ira's festering wound. 3 out of 10 successes. I made breakfast. I cast [[Tenser's Floating Disk (ritual)]]. It can carry up to 1,000 pounds (roll was 27). I do the [[Skull Watch (ritual)]] and leave one skull in the Great Hall and another on the path going to the castle. We stealth. Gloomtoes: 7, me 14 There is a wall unofficially dividing the Blacklake District from the River District. Orcs don't generally bathe, so it smells worse. We get some damage from the acidic river water as we try to stealth from both the mercenaries and the orcs. Maestro sees a vision of [[Father Tyson]], bloodied and hurt, with no eyes. Maestro sends Lydia, his familiar, out to survey the area. There are no other humanoids. We make it past the mercs and orcs and we see the chasm in the distance. There are no plants here. Lydia sees a bluish pulse of light from within the chasm. There are some exposed areas of the sewers. There are houses that have fallen into the chasm. There are creatures that are moving throughout the rubble. I give Maestro and Erathe the Potions of Water Walking just in case. I [[Water Stride]] across the river, and Maestro, Erathe, and Ka'ira balance on the disk. Gloomtoes is carried by Snowflake.
