# 57_20210320 Fighting the Bats ## Session Summary We killed off the bats, discovering that their fiery explosion upon getting bloodied was worse than their normal abilities. Maestro sent his familiar, Lydia, out to see more of the chasm. Fire bats are native to the Elemental Chaos, a plane where elements roam freely. It's a mixture of all elemental planes that touch the prime material plane. But they crossed over into the prime material plane. Nothing unusual. Blue fire flickering - appears and disappears in the same spot. Ka'ira puts a pebble there and the fire deals damage that is radiant, like the sacred flame. Maestro sends Lydia out. There's a fog over the chasm and there are occasional flashes of blue peering out from within it. The walls are changing shape - some handholds appear, some ledges become smaller. It's similar to Tar'gath's area, where he could change his surroundings. There's low visibility because of the fog. Lydia sees bits of rubble that are earthmotes, just floating in the chasm without being supported. Occasionally she sees flashes of something blue or reptilian. She also sees a group of humanoids at the very edge of Maestro's range. They look like they're hunting on one of the lower ledges. They have double-headed axes. These arcane radiant fires always appear in the same place. It's easy to pick out a place that doesn't have it.
