# 68_20210509 Stepping on Eldritch Ground ## Session Summary We continued to kill the Foulspawn, but not before it was able to take a small, gestating creature from the sac-like organ hanging in the cavern. The small creature, which seemed like it had been another type of creature previously, began to grow rapidly into another, weaker Foulspawn. We killed two of these new creatures, then examined the wriggling masses still in the organ. Each one seemed to be a distant, partially digested and transformed shadow of what it used to be. We killed them and the organ. We sent Invidoo to try and find out where Reona was, but not too soon afterwards, he came flying back towards us at full speed, a nothic plague gazer on his tail. ^summary ## Recap of last session ![[67_20210508 The Blue Crystal Fortress#^summary]] --- ## Log The [[Foulspawn]] starts hacking away at the exposed organ in the room, takes a pinkish part of it out, and turns back to us. Round 1: *Eldritch ground* at 4 Maestro got a permanent injury: inappropriate volume. He can't modulate the volume of his voice. - Monster check? - Energies from the Far Realm have bled into this one. The humanoid is different from the other two. It seems to be lower threat. It's naked with mostly no skin (transparent). - Truename -- failed - Sacred flame failed and I can't cast a spell next turn. - So I take out my dagger and look at it dubiously. Round 2: Gloomtoes is badly hurt. - Put away my dagger and First Aid Gloomtoes - Move away Eraithe notices that one of the lightning strikes hits a swarm of bats, and two of the bats get bigger and fall to the ground. Round 3: The small humanoid is on its way to becoming a Foulspawn. It is speaking in whispers. - Move closer - Life transference Maestro - Action point to Moment of Glory. Pushed big guy to the edge of the cavern Round 4: Small guy teleports to the organ. Snowflake kills the two smaller wretched creatures that have just been "birthed". The organ stops moving. It's unknown as to whether or not it is still alive. Ka'ira and Eraithe slash open the sac and start killing creatures that are there. [[Invidoo]] comes flying by, screeching, a [[Nothic plague gazer]] on his tail.
