# 73_20210605 Getting out of the Twisted Fane ## Session Summary Attempting to scare off carrion crawlers, I shot a fire burst at the approaching ones. They were damaged and fled to the other side of the wall. We decided we wanted to take these civilians and leave the fortress to spend the night in the Tower of Zofaris. We fought a carrion crawler at the entrance of the Twisted Fane, but managed to get to the cliff, where a pair of orcs who had seemingly followed us down into the chasm turned and ran away from us. We saw two more of them join the three and disappear near the first cave we went to. We had a long discussion about whether we should go back to the tower or not. We decide to go back, especially after Maestro sends Lydia out to look at the nearest pool and sees that there are carrion crawlers fighting the wretches. The carrion crawlers are eating what remains of the corpse piles. There's a slight change in the lightning - when it's dim, it's dimmer than normal. But when it's bright, it's brighter than normal. Carrion Crawler: Attacks - bite (13 damage) Very hard, sharp teeth despite the gooey, slimy, tentacle-y bodies. I summon Fuego. Fuego's HP: 5 Crawler 1 that we're attacking: -64 dies Round 2 - Perception check to see what's in front of us... is it safe? - Fuego's attack: 11 damage Carrion crawler is bloodied. Bloodied doesn't trigger any attack. Psychic scream. Ka'ira is confused. Move: Carrion crawler erupts in fire and wings out of blue fire burst out. It tries to fly away, but Snowflake takes an opportunity attack. We see orcs that are trying to hide from us, and they run away from us. "They've seen us Brom." "Okay, Brock! It's time to go." 22 for Brock's Truename: Got it! "Vansi says not to talk to them. Vansi will have our heads." I rolled a 19 to charm Brock. "We didn't do anything bad anyway." Bare chests, but they have backpacks and sacks on their belts where we know they keep trophies.
