# 76_20210613 Fragile flesh reformed
## Session Summary
Keren shows up at the Driftwood Tavern after having safely returned the civilians to their homes. Madame Rosene doesn't take kindly to him when he introduces himself as being "Keren of the Harp", but she tolerates his presence when we stick up for him. To attempt to allay her fears, Keren begins to play and sing a song with his harp, one that everyone enjoys-- but Madame Rosene is not convinced. When I touch base with her alone later, she tells me it was the betrayal of a Harper (Cymril) that caused all their plans to go astray, and that she's not keen on letting Harpers meddle in their plans again. I promise to keep an eye on Keren.
I do surgery on Gloomtoes's internal injuries, and I also treat Ka'ira's and Maestro's festering wounds. I also attune to a magical item overnight, a ring that regenerates body parts. I want to give it to Ka'ira, but I'm already attuned-- I'll have to give it to her tonight. ^summary
## Recap of last session

## Log
Madame Rosene says she's seen the icon of a kraken in one of the walls of the tunnel.
[[Zaile]] was killed while he was sleeping. The ledger that he was supposed to keep safe is nowhere to be found.
Bright and cloudy outside.
Madame Rosene can send a person with us to take us to Zaile's and Cyriac's safehouses so we can investigate. She introduces us to a male human named [[Jax]], who looks nondescript. Jax has been to both places and can take us there.
1 hour passes. Keren returned. He says all the civilians are safe.
Madame Rosene has an expression on her face as a reaction to Keren's name, "Keren of the Harp". She is very rude to Keren: "I have no interest in anything you have to say." There is a rift between the Sons and the Harpers. I can guess that's probably why. Whatever happened, Madame Rosene seems to have been personally affected as well as the Sons being affected.
Keren says he knew nothing of "the mission" and tries to assuage Madame Rosene's fears. He seems to be meek and he knows why Madame Rosene doesn't trust him. MR doesn't want Keren to go to the [[The Kraken Tunnels]].
Keren sings a song about Nash Alagondar and how he cared for his people. He himself joined the battle against the surrounding barbarians and orcs. He and his friends kept the village safe, and more people who couldn't protect themselves joined it as well. The Order of the Many-Starred Cloaks appreciated Nash's works and kindness. The other patrons are touched and teary-eyed.
We say to Madame Rosene that we will return tomorrow morning to check in on her, but that she can leave a message.
Madame Rosene is upset because Cymril was a Harper and she betrayed the Sons. She sees it as meddling in our affairs. She is upset that Cymril fooled all of us. She doesn't like that the Harpers are so secretive. I give her my word that I'll watch him.
Left the Driftwood Tavern at 6pm.
I told Ka'ira and Maestro that they may need to consider telling her they're Harpers at some point, because otherwise she may not be too happy to find out that the situation is repeating itself and she's helping put more Harpers on the throne.
Maestro tries to investigate how Snowflake is held together. It's a mixture of many magics, but it's the souls of the Nine are bound to the statues.
I do an operation on Gloomtoes to rid him of his internal injury.
Another success for treating Ka'ira. 5th success to treat her two festering wounds. Day 15.
First success to treat Maestro's festering wound on his leg for Day 15.

[[Ring of Constitution]]: Inside the jewelry case is what looks like a ring. It seems to be made of many vines. On the face, there are small gems shaped into flowers. The vines seem vibrant and alive, as if they have just grown today. It has tiny leaves around it, growing along with the vine. There is an inscription in Elvish: _Fragile flesh reformed_.
I put it on. The vines expand and constrict to fit my finger. They start sprouting tendrils on my hand. It feels like a cloud-- it's very light. The tendrils fall gently on my skin like snow and disappear inside my skin. They seem to be either made of plant or light, or both at the same time. It feels warm and pleasant.
During the long rest, I saved from the mental disturbance of the Chasm and no longer have a penalty to Will defense and initiative.
Long rest. Day 15. 9am
It's the most pleasant sleep we've had in a while. I don't feel any different from the ring that I wear, but it doesn't seem to have activated. It's attuned to me, but there seems to be something missing.
I have to say "Fragile flesh reformed" in Elvish. It starts humming and has learned my body.
- While bloodied, you gain Constitution bonus of hp per round (minimum of 1).
- Regenerate lost body parts in 1d6+4 days.
- It can bring you back to life if you're attuned to it. While you're being regenerated, the ring is impossible to remove from your finger and it is invincible.
