# 78_20210621 Back to the Twisted Fane ## Session Summary We have a discussion about what to do with the Ring of Vines, and we eventually decide that while I'm attuned to it, we might as well use it in the Twisted Fane. Keren takes us back to the Sanctum Empirica, and we make our way back to the Twisted Fane from there, successfully avoiding gibberlings along the way. I send a message to Brock and learn he is still alive. We enter the Twisted Fane from the southeastern entrance this time, and we find and manage to kill a Nothic plague gazer that attempted to skitter away over the wall, but which was finished off by Keren. ^summary ## Recap of last session ![[77_20210619 The Anything Wand#^summary]] --- ## Log Start: 11AM. It's raining. AX11 was the last time [[The Nashers]] and [[Graycloaks]] spoke. The tavern that is the neutral meeting place in the [[River District]] is called the Fallen Tower. Zaile's body was buried in [[Neverdeath]], and it was done in a hurry. Eraithe and Maestro want to return the [[Ring of Constitution]] to [[House Shadowgust]]. Invidoo says that the owner of the ring is no longer alive, so we should just keep it. Keren said that while I'm already attuned to the ring, we might as well use it in the Twisted Fane to get more civilians out, including [[Reona]]. I spend 85 gp worth of reagents to let Keren transport us to Twisted Fane. Snowflake calls [[Thraid]] by another name that means mother, protector, or defender in Draconic. Ka'ira also speaks Draconic now. She has no idea why. We come into the [[Sanctum Empirica]], and we seem to be in the water plane, but moving towards earth. I put the three books about dragon eggs in the [[Bibliotheca Empirica]]. Sacred Flame doesn't work on the emerald - only Thunderwave does. We hear the [[Gibberling|Gibberlings]] again, louder than they were before. Rolled a 30 Dungeoneering to find a way back to the Fane that avoids danger. The walls on the northwestern side have changed in color - they're now a lighter gray. We enter through the southeastern side of the [[Twisted Fane]], attempting to get closer to the two pools that we previously spotted. Maestro sends Lydia out to scout for monsters and she does find a Nothic plague gazer on the wall above us. Encounter: [[Nothic plague gazer]] I fail on my Visions of Avarice hit to get the Nothic, but luckily Keren does not fail - he teleports the Nothic down to the ground. We get a surprise round! That was the second one we've killed so far.
