# 83_20210710 Cyriac is a dragon ## Session Summary We all meet up back at Castle Never, where Ka'ira, Kamael, and Keren are. We exchange information, and then head to the safehouse where both Indigo and Boza are recovering. Boza has recovered completely from his paralysis, which wore off in less than a day, but still had some injuries from the bolt that had been shot into him. Indigo has some scratches, but is mostly fine. She said that she didn't see exactly what happened; she just saw a heavily bandaged man fighting a large white dragon before the dragon breathed, everything turned white, and there was an explosion that rocked the room. She turned and ran. She hasn't heard anything from Cyriac since then, and hopes that he's okay. We head back to Castle Never. We have dinner in the Great Hall with Kamael and experiment with Maestro's boulder. ^summary ## Recap of last session ![[82_20210704 Spellscarred#^summary]] --- ## Log [[Vault of the Nine]] mosaic had a battle between two things: a faceless thing in the sky and Bahamut - red arm - probably the same thing that was in the Hall of Justice DR : function of armor worn and level Attacks vs AC go to Reflex instead. [[Zhentarim]]: Zents are unscupulous. They are out for financial gain. They're merchants and have spies. [[Kamael]] is inspecting his quarters. He sleeps in the servants' quarters by the entrance now. He doesn't mind sleeping there as long as the ghostly servants don't hurt him (and they don't). Zin's tattoos are different from Declan's. They are sharper and have more edges - they look tribal. Zin's tattoos were dark, not fully black. Curves and pointy ends. Not geometric. It's overcast. There is a light breeze that brings the smell of unwashed sailors. We noticed that in the sky, far to the northeast where [[Mount Hotenow]] is, the weather there has lightning and the lightning has a red tint to it. We reach [[Indigo]]'s place. She is with [[Boza]], and they are both recovering. Indigo is a Razorclaw shifter. Boza shook off the paralysis in less than a day. The arrow did most of the damage. Indigo sits up when she sees us and she moves normally, not looking injured. She has scratches on her furry face, but she's fine. She turns serious when we mention [[Cyriac]]. She was in the other room. She heard soft noises, like rain on the roof. She checked on Cyriac, and all she saw was an incredible scene. There was a dragon in our house, fighting a heavily bandaged man. Behind the dragon were several black bolts embedded in the floor. The dragon breathed and all Indigo saw was white as something exploded. Indigo ran. [[Assassin of the Black Bolt]] The dragon was white. Indigo said that Cyriac has been reading about dragons for months. He was obsessed, as he typically gets from time to time. He also had the dragon eggs books that we found there. Got Indigo's truename. She says that she and Cyriac were just resting and waiting for the next job. She doesn't know if Cyriac found out anything else about Alagondars or the royal line. Indigo says she doesn't like [[Theryis]], the elf in the [[House of a Thousand Faces]]. He's stuffy, like most elves are. Cyriac asked Indigo a lot about her shifting abilities. Cyriac asked her inappropriate questions about her fangs, and would sometimes wake her up asking her questions. Cyriac's appearance hadn't changed since we saw him last. Indigo thinks Cyriac is insufferable. Eraithe has heard of faerie dragons that can turn invisible, but they don't shapeshift. Keren thinks dragons _may_ be able to shapeshift, but dragons haven't been able to do that in centuries. There were stories of them shifting, but he thinks they might just be getting confused. [[Candlekeep]] could be a place we could learn about dragons. It is both a library and a fortress. To enter, we need to give a book or a priceless piece of art. People notice us as we go through [[Blacklake District]] and go back to the Castle. We seem to have acquired a reputation. Other people seem to not want to bother us. "Roast somebird" is [[Kamael]]'s favorite food. We experiment with [[Maestro's pet rock]]. During the long rest, he realizes it's already been pre-attuned to him, of a sort. It can accept information and exchange thoughts with it. He gets the feeling that it can change its shape according to Maestro's will, but it has to retain its mass and weight (20 lbs). It doesn't have humanoid intelligence. It will rely on Maestro's mind like that. Ka'ira rolled for how many days it will take to regenerate lost body parts: 1d6+4 = 8 (AX23)
