He was technically the first king of Neverwinter, because Nasher didn't want to be crowned king - he just wanted to protect the city. With Ban, the Alagondar royal line began. Only males matter for hierarchy. :( According to [[Thraid]], every Alagondar ruler goes through [[Ritual of Becoming]] - they weren't originally [[Dragonborn]]s.
