This assassin first hit Ka'ira with a silver-tipped, black-feathered crossbow bolt in [[43_20210110 Reuniting the Ettercaps]], when we were on our way to [[Driftwood Tavern]]. Sometimes his bolts are on fire. ## Appearance ![[assassinoftheblackbolt.jpg]] Brown-horned tiefling with lots of bandages. Brown horns (tiefling?) pointing forward and downward. He is or was a tiefling. Bandages around his nose and mouth. He's wearing an open vest that flows down to his knees. Vest is dark blue. His entire abdomen and arms are covered in bandages. Only fingertips are showing. Piercing through the bandages are sharp, stone-like protrusions on his arm like a dinosaur. He's holding a magnificent crossbow. Silver and black materials so that it doesn't reflect light. It has a loaded bolt on it. Stony tail - like a tiefling tail but it's stony instead. Something is engraved on him. - He had tattoos on his arms that look like faces - He had a dagger with a hilt that looked like the maw of a dragon. ## Personality - lawful: "a contract is a contract" - He doesn't seem to want to hurt anyone else; just [[Ka'ira]], who is his quarry. ## Motivations He is a tiefling whose "brothers" had been tricked by a devil that did not uphold their part of the bargain. As a result, his brothers were trapped (on his skin?) and the only way that he can get them out is to take the souls of 555 dragonborns. He needs two more. He has attempted to kill [[Cyriac]], but confirmed in [[89_20210828 Karias Drach]] that it hadn't gone well for him and that Cyriac had thwarted him by being an actual dragon. ## Family He has nine brothers: - [[Tyrus 💀]] - [[Nefnon 💀]] - ## Reincarnation When he would die, one of his brothers can sacrifice himself to keep Karias Drach alive. We watched him shatter into ice cube pieces on the floor after this happened with his brother [[Nefnon]]. However, he did not die.
