
## History
Calimshan was ravaged by two warring elemental lords: [[Calim]], an air elemental and djinn/genie, and [[Memnon]], an efreet. Their battle lasted 1000 years. Eventually, elves helped residents of Calimshan to trap both the lords into the [[Calimemnon Crystal]], stopping the war and allowing civilization and life to continue in Calimshan. Calimshan became one of the most successful port cities in the south.
[[ttrpgs/Order of the Wandering Mind/The Spellplague]] shattered the [[Calimemnon Crystal|Calimemnon Crystal]], released [[Calim|Calim]] and [[Memnon|Memnon]]. They then overthrew Calimshan's government to recruit efreets, djinns, genasi, and human slaves to fight against each other. Where such elemental races were once shunned, they were suddenly highly sought after.

- [[Almraiven|Almraiven]] - some humans live here, taking refuge in the presence of arcane magicians here, including the [[WeavePasha|The WeavePasha]]'s college of magic. This is where [[Xionerys]] is from.
- [[ttrpgs/Order of the Wandering Mind/Citadel of Sapphiraktar|Citadel of Sapphiraktar]] - earthmote in the middle of the desert, riddled with holes. This is a piece of [[ttrpgs/Order of the Wandering Mind/Abeir|Abeir]]. Some say that a blue dragon, [[ttrpgs/Order of the Wandering Mind/Sapphiraktar|Sapphiraktar]], lives there. Sapphiraktar destroyed Calimport centuries ago.
- [[ttrpgs/Order of the Wandering Mind/The Spires of Mir|The Spires of Mir]] - used to be a lush forest, but [[ttrpgs/Order of the Wandering Mind/The Spellplague]] turned it into a stone forest of large spires where [[ttrpgs/Order of the Wandering Mind/Plaguechanged|Plaguechanged]] creatures roam.
