# Gloomtoes Male gnome psion How We Met: He is not a member of the [[Sons of Alagondar]], but he has had a lot of dealings with them. He was sleeping in the [[Broken Arrow Taphouse]] when the meeting between Ka'ira and the Sons took place. ## Appearance and Personality - Has hair like cotton wisps, like an earbud - He's eccentric, and on our side "for now". - Implement: Orb - Loves to drink. ## Backstory He doesn't dislike [[Neverember]], but he has been reliable so far. He is working with the Sons because he felt called to Neverwinter (see below), and [[Reona]] helped him get out. He came to Neverwinter because he started hearing a song from there, one that he continues to hear today. He believes now that its source may be underground, beneath the city, after we told him about the [[Nothic plague gazer]] who spoke of his Master(s) in [[07_20201011 Fighting aberrations to help orcs]]. This was confirmed in [[71_20210522 Saving prisoners]], when he said that the voices that had been calling to him to help came from the [[Milk Elemental]]s in the [[Twisted Fane]]. In [[80_20210617 The Foulspawn Monstrosity can't keep us from Reona]], he said that the voice was "losing" the fight, although he didn't know or didn't specify whom the voice was losing the fight TO. Presumably, the voice was referring to the aberrant creatures and lightning/Spellplague that had infected the Twisted Fane. In [[81_20210703 Goodbye Gloomtoes]], he found the source of the voice he had heard: it was [[Gloomtoes's Earth Elemental]], whose body had been tortured and twisted until we rescued it. Gloomtoes decided to guide it and be its brain or conscience.
