The Shadowfell is a parallel plane to [[ttrpgs/Temporary White Circle/The Feywild]], but is also its diametric opposite. Where the Feywild is light, Shadowfell is dark. The inhabitants of Shadowfell are called [[Shadar-kai]], and due to the gloominess of their abode, the shadar-kai tend to be heavily pierced and tattooed in an effort to remind themselves what being alive is like. There is also a soullessness and hopelessness to Shadowfell residents. Getting to Shadowfell may not have been an option. There are crossings to Shadowfell, just as there are crossings to the Feywild.
