True dragons are typically creatures of instinct, not thought; they ruined lands where they landed without meaning to. They were like forces of nature, and caused earthquakes, typhoons, and blizzards. Io was an exception. The dragon gods, [[ttrpgs/Order of the Wandering Mind/Bahamut]] and [[ttrpgs/Order of the Wandering Mind/Tiamat]], were descendants of the True Dragons, while not being True Dragons themselves.
