## Andy's notes
- A couple of you heard horse hooves and voices in the night, only to hear Kalani tell you everything was fine and go back to sleep. In the morning she was gone. Reya told you the note she left for her said that she had to go and help her uncles who were in trouble in Zadash.
- Later that day, an out-of-tune bard having his lunch by the roadside sang you a song of storms. It was terrible. Wally tossed him a copper.
- But not so terrible that it didn't work. The weather turned wet and the rain made going heavy in the mud with the cart.
- As the wind blew hard, you heard the sound of a tree in the distance around a bend crash.
- As you approached, you saw the tree had crushed a horse and their were belongings strewn around. A ruffled and bloodied woman was running towards you screaming for help from the copse of trees about 100 ft away.
- Wally went to investigate and discovered that the young woman's name was Frieda and that her husband had been dragged off by some kind of dog or wolf like creatures into the copse. She implored you to help and ran back towards the trees.
- As you made your way through the winding path, you saw an old stone hut, covered in ivy and moss. Possibly an old guard post from another age and now the trees had grown around it.
- As Reya went to investigate and saw figures and a blue-white bobbing light inside, the big dead tree came alive and attacked you. Then one of the vine's peeled away and entered the fight, mostly against Reya. The rest of you got a good beating or grapple from the tree, though Promise and Milla managed to deal it some good damage. Wally's torch clearly irritated the tree, but wasn't enough to set it aflame. If only he had had some oil.
- Eventually Xenia's magic missile and Reya killed the vine blight with some sharp shooting and dealt some damage to the tree.
- As the dead tree started to drag Wally towards the hut, the others finished it off. But then another tree awakened.
- Frieda ran off to the hut to rescue her husband Victor. The door slammed behind her. Reya went to investigate the body on the ground and young Frieda turned into old Auntie Frieda who promptly disappeared.
- The rest of you piled in. Auntie Frieda appeared behind Milla and poked a bony finger in her back and tried to persuade you to enter the hut. Milla turned and attacked her, as did Promise.
- She disappeared again as the vines and trees started to close in. When Auntie appeared again she stopped the vicious vegetation going any further and invited you in to talk.
- During the conversation with Frieda as she handed out cookies to Xenia, Reya and Milla. They smelled great.
- Speaking with you all, she informed you that she wanted to get her favourite ring back from the coven that she was cast out of under the ruins of the tower of Caes Mosor in Molaesmyr. She's been looking for some adventurers who are up to the task, but wasn't entirely impressed with the motly group she sees before her.
- We left the scene with Wally about to strike a bargain with her.

- But it is not so terrible that it doesn't work. The weather turns wet and the rain makes going forward in the mud difficult with the cart.

A hysterical woman, ruffled and bloodied, approaches us yelling for help. We go towards her; [[Xenia]] and Promise notice there is a path that leads towards a copse of trees about 100ft away.
