The party went up the hill, fighting and defeating another group of kobolds along the way. Eventually they found a cave behind a large waterfall. Reya tried to be sneaky, but was spotted by Sken and several kobolds, with Wally and Nima bound nearby. The party began to fight Sken and the kobolds! ^summary --- ## Recap ![[010_20210629 Lots of gnomes#^summary]] --- ## Lulu's notes - After some deliberation at Nima’s house and conversation with the elderly neighbour across the road, we discover that two figures, one short and one tall, had been seen dragging off a “seemingly drunk” third figure fitting the description of Wally. - There is a spray of some sort on the outside wall of the window he was taken out of; the glass is broken from the inside. We find two sets of footprints and drag marks (Wally's, a kobold's and a set of "finer prints"). The footprints are heading northeast out towards one of town gates, but got mixed in with general foot traffic. - On one of the kobolds we found 1 diamond worth 50GP and 2 lode stones that I put the bag of holding. - We meet a taxidermist on the street who points us to the direction of the [[Silberquel Ridge]], and [[Crownsguard]] at the gates who also pointed the way to the path up the mountain. - In the process we discover that [[Vermeillon]] - the abandoned mining town we’ve heard of from a few people - is much further along the mountain ridge than Silberquel. But it is the silver falls cave from Nina’s note that we are currently looking for. - Making our way up the hill is steep going, often with narrow paths, but Reya and Xenia spot movement in the undergrowth and behind the rocks that turn out to be three [[kobolds]], one a spellcaster on the back of a giant weasel. They immediately attack and after a short skirmish and a couple of exploding kobolds, we defeat them. - An hour later we approached the ridge, following the cascading stream up to a large waterfall with a cave behind it. - Reya sneaks up to the cave, but messes up her stealthing as she enters the cave mouth and is spotted by its occupants: [[Sken Zabriss 💀]] and several kobolds. She also spots Wally and [[Nima Cinnarid]] in there. Nima in shackles, Wally in manacles. - Sken and the kobolds immediately give battle and we realise there is a mecha kobold, a kobold inventor (who releases a skunk and threw a pot of green slime at Reya), and a hidden caster in the tent, as well as the normal kobold. Nina aids us in the fight by throwing exploding seeds. - Sken taunts us saying we are about to be defeated, as is [[the Empire]], by the might of the [[Kryn Dynasty]]. ## Sjoerd's notes Window smashed from inside. Reya makes up an exuse that Wally was to marry Milla but got cold feet last minute. We go up the mountain We fight kobolds We reach to the waterfall We find Wally, Nima and other captured by Sken and some kobolds.
