## Lulu's notes
- Having found the secret passageway from Stahlmast's workshop to his bedroom, we start the session by walking straight into the cavernous en suite, the [[Clockwork Forge]]. After a brief exchange in which Wally tried to persuade [[Stahlmast 💀]] to stand down, but he decides to start up the [[Stahlmaster]] and battle ensues.
- His [[Duergar]] smith ([[Roguun 💀]], you hear Stahlmast shout as his name) also gives battle with his war pick. Wally grabs a red hot poker and tries jamming it into the Stahlmaster, but it's strength is too great and snaps it off. Reya's rapier skimmed its surface a few times, but eventually we all start doing it some damage and Reya gets in a particularly potent sneak attack.
- Fortunately the shoulder-mounted crossbow seems to be miscalibrated and misses us every single time, but out of the southeastern tunnel steps comes running a drow and two mecha-kobolds, who all join in the battle.
- Wally tips a water trough over to make going difficult for the enemies, and one kobold acid blasts Wally and Xenia, but then goes up in flames thanks to Promise and is immediately iced by me.
- Wally does some gymnastics over the anvil and benches, but nevertheless, Stahlmast starts blocking us all in while the drow (Stahlmast shouted his name out as [[Ishel]]) attacks, not terribly successfully. Heavily wounded by the casters, Ishel makes his way to the back of the cavern. Stahlmast stomps on the about-to-explode kobold and foils it's messy end.
- Meanwhile, we finally land some good blows on the Stahlmaster and it buckles, groaning to the ground, ejecting Stahlmast. Wally, following his sense of justice, once again tries to persuade the prone Stahlmast to give himself up and be spared. Unfortunately, Stahlmast is too far gone in his narcissistic plans to ~~try and rig the vote~~ crush Hupperdook and stands up, draws out his sword and scores a critical hit with full damage on Wally, who immediately falls unconscious.
- Xenia administers a potion of healing, while I send a fire bolt into Stahlmast's back as he runs away, finishing him off. During all this, we watch as Ishel opens a secret door at the back of the cavern and disappears, the door closing behind him.
- The remaining kobold runs for his life down the steps and passageway it originally appeared from.
- As we investigate, we findd:
- The dark goggles with a kind of brass owl's nose-piece on them that Stahlmast was wearing. ([[Goggles of Night]])
- 15GP & 10SP on Roguun and an unfinished stone statuette of himself.
- 300-350GP worth of parts from the machine.
- A heavy iron key.
- That the secret door that Ishel used is locked.
- A lever on the wall with a brass ball on the end. When I pull it, we hear the sound of air or steam and the muffled screams of a kobold from the southeastern passage.
- We peek into the room to the west and, at least without investigation, it appears to be some kind of store room full of supplies and parts for the forge. We move further inside and decide it seems safe enough to block the southern entrance with some crates, while Reya cast her Alarm spell outside the other entrance.
## Andy's notes
Having found the secret passageway from Stahlmast's workshop to his bedroom, you started the session by walking straight into the cavernous, en suite, Clockwork Forge. After a brief exchange in which Wally tried to persuade Stahlmast to stand down, Stahlmast started up the Stahlmaster and battle ensued. His Duergar smith (Roguun, you heard Stahlmast shout as his name) also gave battle with his war pick. Wally grabbed a red hot poker and tried jamming it into the Stahlmaster, but it's strength was too great and snapped it off. Reya's rapier skimmed its surface a few times, but eventually you all started doing it some damage and Reya got in a particularly potent sneak attack.
Fortunately the shoulder-mounted crossbow seemed to be miscalibrated and missed you every single time, but out of the southeastern tunnel steps came running a drow and two mecha-kobolds, who joined in the battle. Wally tipped a water trough over to make to going difficult for the enemies, and one Kobold acid blasted Wally and Xenia, but then went up in flames from Promise and was immediately iced by Milla. Wally did some gymnastics over the anvil and benches, but nevertheless, Stahlmast started blocking you all in while the drow (Stahlmast shouted his name out as Ishel) attacked, not terribly successfully. Heavily wounded by the casters, Ishel made his way to the back of the cavern. Stahlmast stomped on the about-to-explode kobold and foiled it's messy end.
Meanwhile, you finally landed some good blows on the Stahlmaster and it buckled groaning to the ground, ejecting Stahlmast. Wally, following his sense of justice, once again tried to persuade the prone Stahlmast to give himself up and spared him. Unfortunately, Stahlmast was too far gone in his narcissistic plans to try and rig the vote crush Hupperdook and stood up, drew out his sword and scored a critical hit with full damage on Wally, who immediately fell unconscious. Xenia administered a potion of healing, while Milla sent a fire bolt into Stahlmast's back as he ran away, finishing him off. During all this, you watched Ishel open a secret door at the back of the cavern and disappear, the door closing behind him.
The remaining kobold ran for his life down the steps and passageway it originally appeared from.
As you investigated, you found:
- The dark goggles with a kind of brass owl's nose-piece on them that Stahlmast was wearing.
- 15 gp & 10 sp on Roguun and an unfinished stone statuette of himself.
- A heavy iron key.
- That the secret door that Ishel used was locked.

You moved further inside and decided it was safe enough to block the southern entrance with some crates, meanwhile Reya cast her Alarm spell outside the other entrance.
And that's where we wrapped up the session!
