# [[022_20211012 Voices in the Mine]] ## Session Summary > [!abstract] [[022_20211012 Voices in the Mine]] > As we attempt to make camp by the lake tonight, the rest of us watch as the tiefling goes wading into the water. She shares that she had a dream about a lake like this, under a full moon. A moonbeam seems to have shone on the water, creating a path that she coudl step on. She says that in her dream, there was a smaller object that was eaten by a dragon or snake. > > We battle three meenlocks in the shadows: hairy, clawed creatures that try to drag the tiefling away. I get to use my Twilight Sanctuary! We win. > > We decide it's probably not safe to camp by the lake, and head towards the Starosta's house to stay there. As we pass by the mine, however, both Xenia and I hear voices. He hears the voice of an old person. I hear her voice. The rest of the party goes to the house, but I can't help but go into the mine. The tiefling follows me. She won't let me go on my own. We go part of the way until the rest of the party come to find us and convince us to go to the starosta's house instead. ^summary ## Recap of last session ![[021_20211005 Forever, My Heart#^summary]] --- ## Log 6th Da'leysen Cuersaar. It might be full moon tomorrow. Tiefling says she has seen a path through the moonlight. She said she stepped on the path on the water and she could move towards the center of the lake where she seemed to have been guided. There was an object, a smaller moon, in her dream, that seemed to have been eaten by a dragon or a snake. They try to drag people away and turn them into one of them. Milla says they are from the Feywild. We kill them. I definitely hear a woman yelling for help.. She sounds familiar. I peek into the mouth of the cave and it looks like it's splitting off. I'm SURE it's her. I go into the mine. The tiefling is behind me. The mine splits to the northwest and southeast. Milla looked out to the lake and the moon. - As you made camp, you heard noises and voices, the sound of bowstrings being drawn and rustlings in the bushes. - Then you were ambushed by three Meenlocks, lanky, hairy, clawed creatures who filled you with fear and their best to grapple you and drag Milla away. - A battle of fast moves, hefty spells, divine intervention and strong hits managed to rescued her and dispatch the Meenlocks. - With the last Meenlock receiving an arrow and a fire bolt in the back, you left them sizzling by the lake and decided to head back to Vermeillon - As you passed the abandoned mine entrance, Milla & Scura heard sounds and voices from within and decided to explore the entrance. Milla heard more spiders and saw a spectral figures move through the cavern wall. Scura heard a voice she thought she recognised. - The others went to investigate Starosta Lei Duvezin's house, but seeing Scura and Milla missing, made their way back to the mine entrance and the pair of them decided not to go further. - Tying up the mules at the tree to the West of the house, Wally knocked on the front door. There was no answer. - And that's where we wrapped up! ```
