# [[028_20211130 Not vigilant enough]] ## Session Summary > [!abstract] [[028_20211130 Not vigilant enough]] > As we continued to fight the dogs, cultists, and the strange fiend, Mesa, he seemed to recognize the tiefling as a kindred spirit and sneer at Wally for being "from the bitches of Corellon". As part of the ritual, a crown-looking object materialized, seemingly of some significance. Xenia did his best to disrupt the ritual, including trying to damage the fiend to break his concentration and to snuff out the fire from the braziers being used as part of the ritual. > > I failed my new friends by almost letting them down and letting them die. Despite some close calls and the fiend dropping the tiefling disguise to reveal his true, winged, fiendish nature, we survived long enough for him to teleport out to some place that looked fiery. > > Afterwards, Xenia identified the crown-like object to be a chakram, which turned out to be The Evening Moon. The tiefling told us she'd dreamed that she should find it, and that in her dream, it had to be combined with something called the Sun of the Morning in order to chase away the darkness. > > I couldn't save the victims, but I realized that one of them was Selussa. Fiend calls him. Fiend pushes Victim 1 into the hole and the air shimmers brighter. Xenia casts Shatter Bonus action to administer or take a potion. 18 just misses the fiend. Fiend: "Runechild, my frosty cousin. What are you doing with these people? Wouldn't you rather join your kin?" Xenia kills the remaining cultist with magic missile. - Bonus: heal the tiefling ¿Por qué me haces esto a mí, diosa, con este viejo? [[Mesa]] has spiky armour and tattoos on his arm. He talks about "bitches of Corellon" When Xenia damages him, he seems to like the damage and the Fiend grows wings. ![[mesa.png]] The crown thing looks like this: ![[evening_moon.png]] The Fiend teleports out, with a warning to the tiefling that they would see each other again. Wally sees some trees and some glowing lights in the distance, a long way away. There are stairs on the left. When he was in his tiefling form, we saw tattoos of flames and the hands of Torog on one bicep and a serpent motif on the other. Worm-like figure with a human face on one end. ([[Faction of the Serpentine Worm]]?) Wally also sees a tattoo on the female cultist: a worm with jagged scales and a humanoid face, but the face has jagged teeth. He also sees the ritual dagger. Xenia also sees another female cultist, also with a tattoo and also with a ritual dagger. Under her undergarments, he also sees a very big tattoo of the three hands in a circle. I try to examine the chakram and feel a sense of comfort. It looks like an evening moon. It's a golden metal and is in a crescent shape. Wally goes and tries to look at the little outcropping that we can get to with a rope ladder. She dreamed about combining it with a weapon: Sun of the Morning. She saw an actual sun on the weapon, so she's not sure whether it means the real sun, or another artifact that looks like it. I investigated the victims. Both victims appear to be missing a hand. One of them is a male orc, middle-aged. The other is an older (even for an elf) elf. [[Selussa]]!!!!! Milla tells us what the Fiend said to her about coming to a cousin's embrace. She takes watch. Necesito respuestas. No entiendo muy bien que ha ocurrido. Y aún más importante... ¿hay una posibilidad de que Ella vive? ```
