We spoke to Archivist Zeenoth instead, and told him all about Nihana Chist, the Cult of the Evening Moon, and most of what we learned in Vermeillon. We give him the books we got from Nihana Chist in exchange for access to the Library to research a few things. > > We left the library after our allotted time, with Zeenoth asking us to come back the next day with the transcribed notes of Nihana. [[Xenia Palebender]] says that he came from the Library of the Cobalt Soul in [[ttrpgs/Temporary White Circle/Rexxentrum]]. Xenia also shows the coin from [[Nihana Chist]]. We get brought into the library, and there is a large orrery hanging from the ceiling. ![[exandya-library-orrery.png]] It's not opulent, but it's grand and it's been there for a long time. This is an order with money. [[Archivist Demid Sunlash]] is not in Zadash right now. He's in [[Uthodurn]]. That's where he does his research. We're asked to remove our weapons because there have been recent attacks by the [[ttrpgs/Temporary White Circle/Kryn Dynasty]] in the library. We give weapons to him. I give my: - Shield - Mace - Light crossbow We are talking to [[Archivist Adon Zeenoth]]. We tell him how [[Nihana Chist]] died and how we came to carry her coin. I see a wave of sadness and concern on Zeenoth's face about Nihana. He is Aedon Zeenoth. We tell him everything except about [[Selussa]], the tiefling being a Runechild and somehow related to [[Mesa]], and the name of [[The Evening Moon]]. [[ttrpgs/Temporary White Circle/Torog]] is the dark god of endless tunnels beneath Exandria. Torog should be banished to a sliver in The Far Realm. However, it's not know if [[ttrpgs/Temporary White Circle/Quajath]] is the direct progeny of Torog, but it is a deranged worm. It was said that it was slain during [[The Calamity]] and its body was frozen in [[Eiselcross]]. There are reports that there are people who worship and may even feed off the worm's body. They seek to free it. We show Zeenoth books and Nihana's journal as well as the orrery prototype. [[ttrpgs/Temporary White Circle/Ioun|Ioun]] is the goddess of knowledge. She is known as The Knowing Mentor. We give the 4 books and Nihana's journal in exchange for 4 hours of research there at the library. Also, Zeenoth said he is sometimes in need of firepower and protection at the library. There are expeditions being planned to [[Veluthil Forest]] where we think there is plundering of treasure from some tribes of [[Shadycreek Run]]. The Cobalt Soul has sent two parties that have not returned. We know of the crash site of [[Aeor]] in [[Eiselcross]] that might be connected to [[ttrpgs/Temporary White Circle/Quajath]]. They want all the information we would find and some discretion. In exchange, we would get access (with a chaperone) and a letter of recommendation to all the other libraries as well as some help with transport. The rest of the party have a curse (of the hag) to deal with, and that's north as well. Xenia's research: (Ask if he will share this with Scura) - Xenia asks Zeenoth for help reading a map? It is a map of Eiselcross. It is "Mutelos". There is an Aeorian crash site. There is not much information left about this city. There may be artifacts there, buried in the ice, that might help turn the tides of the conflict. Mutelos may be a shard of Aeor or of something else. The landscape seems to change all the time. When the sun rises, things have changed. Our chaperone is a female androgynous elf who is lean and muscular. She is sinewy but not chunky. She is wearing Cobalt Soul robes that are a little more functional than Zeenoth's. She is [[Eleanor]]. I cast Enhance Ability (Fox's Cunning) on Reya and the tiefling. They have advantage on intelligence checks for the next hour and I am concentrating. It should be 20 gp per book per hour to research here. The tiefling's and Wally's research: (The tiefling shares this with the party) - Tiefling and Wally find a book about a myth of a weapon charged with the light of [[Raei]] called The Morning Sun or [[The Star of the Morning|The Morning Star]]. It's believe to be lost in the betrayal of [[ttrpgs/Temporary White Circle/Asmodeus]]. Might be lost in [[Molaesmyr]] in [[Veluthil Forest]]. There is some connection with The Evening Moon. There is a myth of an eclipse when the Morning Star and Evening Moon become intertwined either by attunement by a single wielder or by allies. It creates a miniature solar system. Each one has an ability that can be combined. They create orbits around each other or something like that - not quite sure what that means. ^295482 The tiefling tells me that tieflings have a bloodline suffused with a pact made with Asmodeus generations ago. [[Mesa]] is probably a [[Cambion]], spawn of a fiend and a humanoid. They are horrific adults. I research: - [[The Ninth Revelation]]: reports of their activities, what their intentions are - [[Ionos Jagentoth]] connected to slavery in [[Shadycreek Run]] - [[The Menagerie Coast]] - Stuff about Pelor [[ttrpgs/Temporary White Circle/Quajath|Quajath]]: Cult around Quajath as well. They are feeding off its body in the tomb of the Worm. I rolled so poorly that this is all I learned, plus that the Menagerie Coast is a good holiday spot. Reya said that when we get out of Zadash, she will tell me more about who's looking for her and what she did long ago that caused someone to hunt for her. Zeenoth said a quarter of the notes are not yet done being transcribed - we'll need to go back for them! We hear a shout and a scream and a crownsguard runs down the street, incredibly scared. From a sewer grate, a large hairy insect leg pokes out.
