We kept hearing a female voice whispering about us leaving an offering and getting a reward. We got to a long hall with a high mosaic ceilings, with long pools on either side. Along the way were statues too detailed to be sculpted, and we surmised that they had been petrified. At the very centre, we saw a pair of statues of a tiefling girl and a human boy embracing. It was Ahrisa and Oenn! > > We were attacked by some snakes in the pools, but we easily disposed of them. There was a cat-like thing that was watching us and then jumped down to attack us, but we killed it easily. Unfortunately, there was also a Medusa-like creature that was hiding. Vigilant Blessing on Wally. We go into [[The Cave of Eternity]]-- it's single file. We can still go back out! [[The Cave of Eternity#Foyer to Forever]]: We're in a 20 ft.-diameter cavern. There are four dim torches. There's some kind of writing and there's a symbol of a serpent running through the letters. There was a once-ornate balustrade in the centre. Looks like a circle. There's something in there. It's a staircase going down. Writing says that this is the Cave of Eternity and that only people who seek eternal life should enter. [[The Cave of Eternity#Three Stone Boots]] We go down the spiral staircase. I cast *Eyes of Night* on everyone. It's about a 20-foot diameter chamber. There are the boots of three statues on the floor. There are double doors and there is a symbol in red emerging from the doors. The door handles are wooden with metal handles (probably brass). The boots can be moved, but they're heavy. They're made of stone. Wally steps closer to the double doors and it opens. There's another set of doors! They aren't locked either. They're heavy. We hear whispers from inside: *Welcome to the Cave of Eternity. Only true seekers find their way here. Come, enter. Place your offering and receive your reward.* It's a female voice. [[The Cave of Eternity#Medusa's Chamber]] 90-foot long hall, 40 foot high ending in a mosaic ceiling. There are long pools on either side and torches in sconces along the wall. The floor is painted with intertwined red lines all the way forward. There are some statues of different sizes. At the top there is a figure of some sort of large cat on top of rocks. Statues: - stone goblin crouching on the floor, peeking through its fingers. (whole) - left in the pool next to me: warrior of some kind, sword is ready to stab someone in the belly. - large warrior man with an axe above his head. A barbarian of some sort - one with a staff in their hands. A woman with long hair Right in the centre, we see statues of a young tiefling girl and a young boy, almost embracing. Xenia poured water that cured exhaustion into the mouth of the woman with the staff. Nothing happened. Wally gets into the water and he feels snakes and a swarm of snakes. ![[1669148744207 - Combat]] Snake kebab is pinned to the wall! Cat-like thing was watching us, and it jumps down. It has a head of snakes.
