## Session Summary
> [!tldr] [[072_20221213 Xenia lives forever]]
> We continued the fight against the Medusa, and we quickly got into a bad situation when she and the snakes in her hair turned their harsh gaze on Xenia, who was immediately petrified. We still managed to eke out a win despite the Medusa resorting to Stealth, but we were unable to find a way to un-petrify the poor wizard who, to be fair, had gotten what he'd always said he wanted: eternal life... as a petrified statue.
>
> Wracking our brains for options, we sent a message to Misty Grove of the Night Back Clan and to the Cobalt Soul, asking for help in un-petrifying Xenia, Ahrisa, and Oenn. Both groups seemed willing to help in general, but did not definitively say they could help with the petrification. The Night Back Clan asked to meet us in The Blooming Grove, and the Cobalt Soul asked for a day or two to locate The Blooming Grove as well. I also mentioned to the Cobalt Soul that we had Grovelthrash. ^summary

## Log
The Farlanders were killed by Ilbane.
We know where the Jagentoth compound is. The Estate Sypiritic is the Mardoon's place and the Jagentoth compound is nearby.

We find:
- (Dax) Snake skins that have been shedded
- (Dax) One of the statues is wearing a gold and red ring (40 gp) and a broken dagger.
- (Tiefling) Bracelet (worth 200 gp)
- (Me, from Medusa's body)
- Cloak made of polished serpent skin, gold and silver embroidered through it.
- Robe of Serpents
- Poison from snakes.
- (Milla) Rod that looks like a hobby horse
- Rod of Conveyance
- The top of this rod is capped with a bronze horse head, and its foot is decorated with a horsehair plume. By placing the rod between your legs, you can use an action to temporarily transform the rod into a horse-like construct. This works like the _phantom steed_ spell, except you can use a bonus action to end the effect early to use the rod again at a later time. Deduct the time the horse was active in increments of 1 minute from the spell’s 1-hour duration. When the rod has been a horse for a total of 1 hour, the magic ceases to function until the next dawn.

I cast Sending to [[Misty Grove]]:
> Need your help. Do you know how to un-petrify someone? I can make a potion if you have ingredients. If yes, say where to meet.
She responds:
> Scura! Did you encounter Vesper? I would need to ask our priest Jewel if she knows.
#sending to [[Archivist Adon Zeenoth|Zeenoth]]:
> Xenia and two others got petrified. Can you help? We're going to Blooming Grove. Got Grovelthrash.

Response:
> I'm sorry to hear about Xenia. Can you bring Grovelthrash now and we return together? Need a day or so to locate Blooming Grove.
