It was Kimbal from Jezean Emporium! He said he was there to drop off a stuffed worg that was supposed to go in Ionos Jagentoth's bedroom. We thought about using him to sneak us in, but decided to go easy on him and let him go. > > Instead, we went back to town. Dax rigged the explosives in the Landlocked Lady, and almost blew herself up while we were next door. She rigged three charges, and then we headed back to the Obsidian Keep. It turned out that one of the guards had a birthday, so there were fewer guards than normal. > > We entered the compound, where Wally was almost spotted by one of the guards. Dax and Wally broke into the shed on the upper left, which turned out to be a slave shed filled with tieflings, one of whom was Music. The tieflings told them that Ionos Jagentoth liked to experiment on living creatures... and the tieflings had the scars and brands and bite marks to prove it. > > Halkin used Dax's immovable rod to keep the guards in the guardhouse while Dax set off the explosives. He sees the other four and he sees he has a delivery. It's a worg. The other master doesn't like for others to know what he's buying. Weirdly, the worg is going in his bedroom. - He'll be back in two hours. - We have explosive seeds and black powder. We go back to [[The Landlocked Lady]]. It's very calm and quiet. Milla gives Dax 1 crate of explosive seeds. Meanwhile, the rest of us are across the street when Milla comes to join us (while Dax is trying to fix the charges). It's like some people are in uniform. It seems like a neutral space. There's a mute woman who takes orders, writes them down, and gives the slate to the counter. <3 (Could this by [[The Trench Tavern]]?) ^3c9169 Dax works on converting the explosive seeds into timers. - 1 with 1 minute. Back at [[The Obsidian Keep]] - at the front there is a gate that is about 50 metres away from the front door. - parapet is above the front gate - upper left: jail? - upper right: guardhouse - center bottom: front gate - We hear loud cheering and voices as though there's a bit of drinking in the guard house. Like someone's having a birthday in there! - "Not long now, we're going to have drinks with [[Zeelon]] and the others." ^3c9444 - Dax uses her super stealthery cloaking device and disappears. We begin! - I enter from the east. The others enter from the north. There are six tieflings there. 3 male and 3 female. It's very dark. No moon from Catha. A red glow from Ruidus. The tieflings tell them they are slaves. One of them says that they've seen [[Floyd Hemsworth]] and he is in the dungeon under. [[The Slave Shed]] - [[Riven]] (m), [[Music]], [[Zara]] (f), [[Erelith]] (m), [[Isolde]] (f) - motherly and nurturing. - Wally gives Isolde a potion of troll's blood and the largest man a sword. He says he can't take a sword from another paladin. He knows about the corrupted forest (that is not so corrupted anymore). - They've been experimented on. Their blood has been taken by the Jagentoth man. They don't know why he's experimenting. They get beaten and tortured. (They have scars from bloodletting so many times.) - The dungeon is a menagerie. His name is [[Grom]]. Hunchback, green skin? He can be invisible. Halkin clicks the Immovable Rod. Dax has set the charges: - 1: outhouse - 2: kitchen door - 3: back door They're all 'Strayan! BOOM! Kitchen help, a dwarf, comes running out. and a half-orc woman comes out running after "[[Olliver]]". BOOM! 28 damage to the two of them. Dead. 2 Guards run out the back door. BOOM! 22 damage +6 = 28 damage. ![[twc-scura-cat.png]] Dax and I run into the shed. I see her. But it can't be her. I cast *Sleep* and tell everyone that can't be [[Music]].
