The Gem Jellies were particularly brutal, and would harden into a crystalline form before shattering into a deadly explosion. One of them escaped back through the cracks, while the other was ultimately killed by Xenia. The cockroach swarms were annoying but not too lethal. > > After an uneventful long rest in the Hut, we continued towards the city of Vuthos. We got to a lava dam where a sluice drained parts of the lava. It's about 10 feet in diameter. There are rungs that go all the way to the top. Six foot wide. EVerything's scaled up. There's a chain, with each link being five feet wide, on either side. It looks like it is connected to the flow of a paddle that switches the flow of lava from one tunnel to the other. Right now, there's lava on the left. Looks like the whole dam could be opened.
