The fact that @apolaine created this for us. Klissa telling us it's a place free of shame and judgment. The fact that we spent an hour on wish fulfillment. Andy not wanting to pierce the veil, but also having to guess at our characters' proclivities to figure out how to charge us or tell us what's available. I felt giggly nervous about the whole thing, but safe in the scene and at the table. The whole Klissa description. Andy picking up on my hope that Sage might run into someone of import at the brothel that might give her some information along with some fun. The thought of Nika leaving behind a trail of glitter for a while, and having some bard smell like cinnamon in turn... ⭐ Being able to use Gift of Gab as a social "undo". I felt like crying. %% --- ## Recap ![[ttrpgs/Temporary White Circle/130_20240521 Girls Night in Pork Salami#^summary]] --- ## Log We go to the Primal Palace. - haze of incense - lots of candles, caked with wax - silk curtains obscuring our view, stairs on both sides. - We're greeted by a tiefling. She has crimson red skin, tattooed with ley lines with points where they meet at little circles. It's like a map on her body. Long white hair, tied in a French braid. It would probably reach to her tail when untied. It's her skin we notice, but also the lack of clothing. She's wearing a leather harness. Her horns are covered in rings. She's pierced her horns and some of them connect to her nose and her lip. She has over the knee leather boots. - There's no shame here. They're very open. But they have one rule: weapons should be checked at the "moment of engagement". [[Klissa Thuth'tamoz]]. Milla spends 300 gold. (50 per person for hour) Sage spends 100 gp for Nika, who gets a glittery man. Nika feels that he's cast *Calm Emotions* on her. She saves, but allows him to lead her off. It's not really just glitter on her body. I ask to be employed for the night and show Klissa that I'm a changeling. I offer to work with her. She's the Madam of the house but she has ways to defend herself and enforce her own boundaries. [[Lorozak Gathakigano]] is the (female) goliath bouncer here. Klissa says there's one client that she has in mind who might be interested in hiring us together. The client has sometimes been physically out of bounds. He's in town for the auction. He may or may not make it in tonight. Klissa says he's quite unpleasant but pays well. She offers for me to enjoy myself or to get paid. I decide to snoop around. It looks like a whole Bedouin tent with lots of curtains. Next to every curtain, there is a little hatch. There are people in harem/Bedouin style clothing who are like servers. They're taking orders for drinks and "long objects" and turning a lacy susan sort of drum to deliver orders without people needing to be seen. Some people are in bathrobes just talking to each other and rehydrating with water and wine. Men and women. Some humans, a dwarf. There's a woman with black eyes, violet eyes, tanned skin who gives me a big smile as she goes by. Sage doesn't ask for anyone. Klissa comes by to get me. Guest arrives. He has a request. Klissa asks me to change into someone that looks like her sister, but not identical. I change into a tiefling who has a dusty rose color of skin with similar features to her. Klissa leads me upstairs to what looks like a full BDSM dungeon. He's in a jovial mood right now - will probably want to be submissive. It really depends on his moods. He's mid 30s, human. He's got a white blouse/shirt on and breeches. Still has boots. Half of his face is heavily scarred-- they look like a savage creature has attacked his face at some point. He's got eyes that are mean. He wants a dominatrix. He's very complimentary of me. He's trying to show off a bit to me and impress me. He boasts about how much money he spends at the auction. He has an eye on the creature. I tell him I'm actually a gift from [[Ionos Jagentoth]]. He doesn't recognise the name, but is suspicious of me until I cast *Gift of Gab*. He and Klissa both forget I ever asked that. It takes several hours. Klissa has to manipulate him to keep him within reasonable bounds. Klissa asks if I'd be able to come back more often. She suggests that there are more fun and pleasant clients than this guy. His name is [[Mr Silverleaf]]. I don't recognise the name. Silverleaf's accent was Zemnian. It sounds like he's from [[ttrpgs/Temporary White Circle/Rexxentrum|Rexxentrum]]. When I tell Xenia and Wally, they don't recognise it either. Milla waited for Sage. Nika, who finished first, went back to [[The Port House Inn]]. Klissa is incredibly charming and, like the perfect sommelier, who knows exactly what people want. She's very insightful. She has a silver tongue. Even I got lulled in occasionally and had to pull myself back. She gives me 500 gp as my half of the payment for the night!! Wally and Xenia go and scope out a place to teleport Ayzar to potentially, outside the town in the countryside somewhere. Xenia gets some soil samples there. It's about 45 minutes to an hour away, in a more lush, foresty area past some pastures so that there's some cover. Beyond that is a hilly area. Next day, we go to the auction house. [[Mateus]] is there, looking tired. The two patrolling guards are now different. [[Cute half elf guard]] is where [[Sark]] was, by the entrance of the house. We go in with our weapons and armour disguised to be more decorative. Milla casts *Seeming* and Sage changes into her fire genasi mask. Milla looks like herself but human, and Wally actually likes it. Xenia is a blue-skinned tiefling. Wally's himself, but just a little bit taller. I cast *Aid* on Wally, Nika, and myself. Xenia casts *Manifest Mind* in the corner of the wall and just stays there where there are no windows. He says that's where we should go if things go awry. That's the location we'll pop (teleport/dimension door) to if we need to. Nika's just going to go in as herself and say that the ring she's selling is really her father's, and that it's part of her inheritance. We go in pretty much as ourselves. Wally's made his sword and armour look more ceremonial or decorative rather than functional because his Performance roll was pretty crappy... We go into [[The Exalted Collection Auction House|Exalted Collection]]. The viewing is under way. Mateus says hello to me and Milla and welcomes us back in. He says that [[Ignatius Moonridge]] is the large, well-fed dragonborn. He draws attention. We see a lot of people there. Some people have masks on. Some are not. About 2/3 are masked. - Mr. Silverleaf is there but his face looks whole and not scarred. He's got a frocked coat on. I recognise the breeches and boots from last night. He disappears back out the front door, accompanied by someone from the auction house. - Gnome - Human with pixie cut red hair (f): [[Red Pixie Cut Human]] - Half elf - Ignatius Moonridge. Standing in the middle, a dragonborn with a staff and big coat. - ![[twc-ignatius-moonridge.png]] Nika talks to Ignatius Moonridge and tells him she has something to sell. He takes her to the northern room where they can talk. She tells him it's a ring dedicated to [[ttrpgs/Temporary White Circle/Asmodeus|Asmodeus]]. He asks her if she's also of the same persuasion as her father, and she says she isn't and just wants the money. He tells her the ring could sell for 700 platinum easily. She gives him the ring. He says he'll keep it on his person. He opens up the pocket of his waistcoat and it seems like it's an extradimensional space. He says they take a 15% fee. Xenia went with Nika to sell some other things too. - Ceremonial knife - Ring of Stone - Scroll of Gate The auction starts. - Fey white and blue dress. It increases abilities in some way. It goes for 5000 gp. - Shroud made from pelts of rats sewn together. They were found feasting on corpses of the dead in [[Blightshore]]. It makes you smarter and gives you some abilities. Starts at about 3000 gp. No one bids. Ignatius can't get anyone to bite. - Gem lets you see through the ethereal realm. Gem of True Seeing. An elegant high elf in a silver gown buys it for 5000 gp. - Deck of cards: Deck of illusions. Starts at 300 gp and goes up by 50 gp each time. - [[Ayzar]] is brought in. Heavily sedated and in chains. It starts at 4000 gp. Silverleaf is nowhere to be seen. Someone keeps bidding though, probably for him, and seems to be looking towards the wall but there's nobody we see there. The person bidding is wearing a tailored suit with a silver brooch. Wally has a closer look and doesn't see evidence of a Sending Stone or Sending happening. I paint *Ash of Ebon Birch* on Xenia and ask him not to look at me. - He sees the eyes of paintings on the wall have cutouts, and there are actual eyes in the wall. - The elegant high elf is way older than she appears. - On the left hand side, the door is an illusion and it's actually an incredible reinforced adamantine door with a complex lock arrangement. - Pixie cut red hair looks slightly less glamorous. Her hair doesn't quite match her dress the same way, and her vibrant blue eyes aren't real. Her nose is a little longer than in the illusion. - This is what she looks like to us (this is the illusioned version): ![[twc-redheaded-pixie-cut.png]] - Xenia also looks at Sage despite me asking him not to. 😅 %% Xenia sees Sage's true changeling form. %% Ayzar goes for 6000 gp. Ayzar gets dragged towards the south. Nika's ring is sold. Ignatius says it's dedicated to [[ttrpgs/Temporary White Circle/Asmodeus|Asmodeus]], the Lord of the Nine Hells. - Even here, people are scandalised. But that soon goes away, and people begin to bid it up. - The pixie cut hair woman buys it. 8000 gp. Ignatius ends the auction and invites everyone to enjoy the champagne and wine. People go over to the desk in the middle to get their gold. The money that's being held gets put in the illusioned vault. Ignatius had said previously that the auction house also offers banking services to hold money... The pixie cut hair woman who bought the ring pays and moves quite quickly to the exit. - Wally wants to follow her. - Xenia casts *Detect Magic*. - Sage wants to try to get to Ayzar before Mr
