# [[Cathar Calendar]] The Cathar Calendar is the calendar used by [[The Pallid Elves]] that is based entirely around the cycles of [[Catha]], unlike the [[Exandrian Calendar]], which is largely solar-based. The cathar calendar has 11 months of 33 days each, which means it has 363 days: slightly slower than the Exandrian calendar. ## Months The Pálidos have a name for every moon, and also name the months accordingly. | | Month | Translation | Values | | ---- | ---- | ---- | ---- | | 1 | Muharram | The Forbidding Moon | restraint, control | | 2 | Safar | The Void Moon | meditation, building | | 3 | Shravana | The Listening Moon | passivity, silence | | 4 | Ghina | The Singing Moon | joy, laughter | | 5 | Iqtiraan | The Coupling Moon | sex, passion | | 6 | Sha'ban | The Searching Moon | knowledge | | 7 | Rajab | The Respectful Moon | order, hierarchy | | 8 | Ramadan | The Scorching Moon | rebirth, questioning | | 9 | Shawwal | The Lifting Moon | change | | 10 | Dhu al-Qi'dah | The Sitting Moon | reflection, adaptation | | 11 | Dhu al-Hijjah | The Searching Moon | pilgrimage, Ruidus | The Pálidos also divide themselves into "moons", or tribes, according to their birth months.
