Mind-flayers captured kuo-toa and caused them to go insane. Kuo-toa invent gods to protect them They will pretty much worship as a god anyone who displays strength, does a lot of damage, or is tall. They also have a strange ability to actually manifest godhood in those that they worship; Wally gained abilities in [[032_20211228 The god-maker helps us kill a god he made]] after they worshipped him.
